At The Risk Of Redundancy... Torsion Key Question.

im looking to level my classic body vmax, in order to run a 305/55/20 tire. although im a 2wd my suspension is no different than a 4wd. (or so im told)

i have about 1 1/4 threads showing on the torsion bolts, so i have room to crank them. however i was reading this forum (all afternoon, lol) and found that ford has a set of keys i can swap out and it will level/lift the front of my truck.

1. does anyone know the ford part number for those keys?

2. does the key actually change the height without affecting the preload, or is it the same as cranking my bolts in.

im confused as to why theres a different key. im finding conflicting info all over the place. thanks

The Ford keys are just indexed slightly differently. It's doing the same thing as cranking your bolts, you just won't have to crank them as far (one will usually top out WAY earlier than the other on stock setups). You'll want new shocks either way, as you'll be eliminating the downtravel on your stockers when you crank it up a notch or three.

Not sure on the part numbers, but I know they've been posted quite a few times, might run a few more searches.
