Tekosha (or Other) Brake Cntrllr Install 1500 2008

I'm in need of a brake controller in the next day or two for my 2008 Vmax 1500 Crew so my brother can tow his enclosed dragster trailer.

 

I want a good controller and I saw that the P3 Tekosha was praised in another thread. So, I'm thinking about how to wire it. Do they have a harness for my truck wiring or is it something I have to make up? I can get some molex connectors if needed.

 

A little advice is welcome.

Get one locally. I believe your truck has the blunt cut wires zipped near the steering column, just follow the directions to connect harness to your wires. I soldered and heat shrunk mine when I did it. You will probably need to connect a wire in the fuse block under the hood and may even need to install a fuse.

Thanks much man. This saves me some real headaches. My truck has the same coiled and stowed wire as in the tutorial.
