I notice when i get on it from a stop that it seems slightly sluggish until it hits 35mph then it rockets until I think around the 50-55 mph then shifts, I know its a truck and wont necessarily launch balls out but with the few mods I have you would think it could have a nice launch to it, though Im def not loosing sleep over this just wondering if this is normal or not.

Its normal, Gm's torque management system. If you go with an aftermarket tune you can get rid of the lag.

LLol I forgot about that, I have the bb tune and I was only in normal mode when attempting which I only had him remove 80 percent, ill check out the performance mode which has 100 percent removed

I've noticed on my truck that only going about half throttle till I am moving and then full throttle feels like I get more acceleration then just smashing the peddle most of the time.

for one trucks aren't ment to be fast, with deep enough pockets you can get them fast

 

two the lag is there so you don't grenade the drivetrain hot rodding around...whether GM did it to save them money or not is an argument thats been going forever

Yeah I totally agree with you. Even with all the tm removed it still acts the same till about 35mph then it takes off, but for a lightly modded truck im still impressed with everything so I have no complains
