1500HD & 2500HD

Ok, does anyone know what the difference is in the front suspension?   Not talking about one being a 3/4 and one a 1 ton, but if the A arms, mounting locations etc... is the same.

 

I can get a 9" lift that is currently on a 2500HD and was just wondering if it would fit a 1500HD?

Certainly the torsion bars are heavier in the 2500HD.  The front mounts may be different because the 2500HD has a heavier frame,  I just don't know if the front clip is the same between the 2 trucks.

Well i just happen to have one of each parked in the driveway tonite....My POS Ford F-150 company truck is in the shop again so I grabbed a 2500HD crew cab at the shop

So would you think a lift kit for a 2500HD would fit on the 1500HD?

I am not sure,I would ask A pro.You could shoot these guys an email and I'm sure they could tell you what would fit.

Hey Shotgun...you have any crowning issues with those tires on stock rims?

Just order a kit that will fit the 2500 (non-hd).  That should  fit the 1500HD.

No probs at all with the tires guys.None at all.You guys gotta be careful how you use the info you see on here.This is my second set of 305's and I will never run anything else.Heck I saw A 2500HD yesterday with 315's on it and I have to say it looked sexy.I will never let lawyers and pin head execs decide what size tires I put on my truck.Think outside the bun!
