2011 Silverado Crew Has Road Noise Coming From Rear Doors

I just bought a 2011 Silverado 1500 crew cab, I notice 'road' noise when driving that seems to come from the right rear door. Yesterday I was riding in the front passenger seat with someone else driving and noticed it there too but I hear it from the left rear door so I assume it comes from both rear doors.

 

Has anyone else noticed this on their crew cabs? It sounds like the door isnt closed all the way so it is fairly loud and am hoping there is a way to fix it.

 

Any thoughts/feedback?

When my truck was very new -- week or so old I had to make sure the rear doors closed when I opened them. They latch at the bottom and the top. Mine were not latching at the top. They are not supposed to wiggle any when closed. Try holding the door higher up when closing. Anyway this is what happened with mine and I guess they broke in because they shut good now 3 months in.

Thanks for the info...I thought mine was an oddity! Now if they could just figure out how to fix them!

The Fix is a 2009 rear cab insulator that is covered ,not the insulator that GM has listed on the TSB........

Don, got a part number and picture of that 2009 rear cab insulator you mention?
