IsIs there a way for me to turn off the automatic lights? I am putting HID bulbs in and don’t need them to turn on everytime I crank the truck.

Another one of my pet peeves with this truck ...

What I do is each & every time I start the truck, I hold the light dial all the way to the off position, then release it when the engine starts. I don't need my lights burning out 100x sooner than they should because of this design.

Would be sooo much easier if they allowed that to be programmed in ... or even better, included a simple toggle switch.

You'd have to find the wires that go to the "off" setting of the knob, & connect them together ....... but the way these things are wired today with body control modules doing all the grounding you'd probably end up with no headlights at all, or other weird issues. That's why I just hold the knob to the left, then start the truck. Nice & simple.

search the forum for daytime running lights and you will find a few threads on the subject. all you have to do is pull 2 fuses, but i'm not sure which ones.

I tried that on mine when I first got it & they still came on. Might have been the light sensor though - the barn is pretty dark. I hate how you can't tell if the lights are on or off in the daytime from inside the cab.

I pulled my day time running lights fuse. Don't care about auto. I like mine to Come on auto.
