My 2001 Silverado has it's ABS light on. Took it to a shop to read the code. Code reader spit out can't comminicate with module. The shop told me to check the wiring. Ground is located under driver side? Where is the module located? Any recommendations on what I should do.

Check the wiring. My 2000 Sierra had he wires rotted from salt right near whaer the electrical connection from the ABS pump goes into the ABS module. If you are in the salt belt, this is a common problem. Pump/module are mounted under the cab on the drivers side...pretty obvious with all the brake lines going out of it. Don't let them talk you into replacing the whole pump/module assembly. Good Luck!

The ground is reallllllly close to the module if I remember right. I have seen some that the ground would be broke off the frame or corroded into two pieces.... Also, I have seen some that the connector would be full of water and the terminals green with corrosion.

Yah if it is Kelsey Hayes module maters is the ticket. They can tell you the ones they can fix on there site.

Check power and ground to the module with a high load source like a halogen headlamp bulb. G110 is the ebcm's ground and it is just on the opposite side of the frame rail, bolted to the frame horn for the cab mount, and is known for issues. G100 is also know for issues and it is the main battery to frame ground that is attached to the front frame rail horn for the radiator support mount, on the driver's side. It can be seen through the tow hook cutout in the front bumper.

All of that is a good start. Still could be a loss of ignition voltage or serial data communication but the power and ground issues are the most popular of issues.
