Gas Gauge

Now that I have gotten my 305/70/16s on my truck I have been getting about 320-350 miles out of one tank of gas.  Just latley my gas gauge has been acting really strange.  I will get 300 miles out of the first half of my tank and than 20-50 out of the second half.  It ust to be about 180-200 out of the first half and than 150-170 out of the second half(even with the new tires).  It has never done this before.  Has done this with the last two full tanks of gas.  Any ideas?

Also what is the normal size of gas tank for a 99 1500?

I do beleive the fuel tank is 26 gal for 99-03. I have never experienced the problem you are describing. It sounds like you may have a problem with the sending unit in the fuel tank though.
