blacksheep1998 Posted August 21, 2011 Posted August 21, 2011 I replaced the actuator for the recirc and it worked for a few days, now does not work again. I have tried both ways to recalibrate the AC control unit, both by pulling the HVAC fuse and then putting it back in letting the unit calibrate, and by removing the battery cable and letting everything in the car reset fully befoire turning on. With vents blowing out forward, AC on, the button for recirc lights up when pressed but no movement from the door. During the reset I can see the door does move properly to each stop point. Could the control unit be bad? I have no DTC's showing in the computer. Or is there something that still needs to be done with a Tech 2? Thanks.
govtech Posted August 21, 2011 Posted August 21, 2011 there maybe something in "special functions" to relearn it as i recall
blacksheep1998 Posted August 23, 2011 Author Posted August 23, 2011 there maybe something in "special functions" to relearn it as i recall Paid for an hour of diag at the dealer today. Tech tried to reprogram the control unit with the tech 2, started down the flowchart to diag as the unit had code B0229 set. Document ID for the flowchart is 1412551. I am going to pull the control unit and check the wires going to the actuator for a short to ground, if i find nothing there I guess the control unit will need to be replaced. The tech also said that pressing the recirc button on the control unit did not indicate on/off on the tech2, he said usually when you press the button it sends a signal and the tech2 indicates it is either on or off.
