04 Silverado Pulling Codesssssss

Recommended Posts

Hello i had just bought a 2004 chevy silverado 1500, with a 5.3L. I got it and the fuel gauge didnt work it just works sometimes and stops other times... I replaced the whole fuel assembly unit, thinking it was the sending unit... which now it does move the needle but the needle is in the bottom black part of the fuel gauge....

the truck is also pulling codes P0449 and P0455, it had a after market cold air intake on it... i took that off and placed a stock air box on it, i also changed the fuel assembly unit so that replaced the vapor sending sensor..... and i can not find the purge value or solenoid???? are those the same thing, can someone tell me where they are...

Please and Thank you.

Welcome nick west.

Purge valve (supplying vac. to system) is located on intake manifold. Vent valve is on frame between cab and bed.

Evap codes have been discussed here ad nauseam. See here to get you started:
