1987 Gmc C7000

I have a 1987 GMC C7000 truck which I started yesterday after a Long time of sitting. It started with the help of starter fuild. I went to the gas station about 1/4 miles and turned it off, pumped gas and then turned it right back on with no need of starter fuild. I turned the corner and it backfired and turned off. Now I cant get it to turn over at all. I changed the spark plugs but didnt change the wires. Can anybody give me advice on what I can do next to turn this reliable baby on? The backfiring happened before so could this be the timing chian? Please Help!!!

  The bottom of the crosshatch wouldn't be "1 quart low" in the published manual because the range of the crosshatch is the allowable range. The crosshatch is approx. 1 quart or liter so that when the oil level is at the bottom of or below the acceptable range you can safely add 1 quart or liter without overfilling.

  Definitely propagated by Big Bread. Them's some shady characters. That said, it's not quite been a full month since Independent Lubricant Manufacturers Association (ILMA) sounded the horn which prompted the CNBC story which spun up the Jalopnik article. I thought I'd drive the point home by using something that is consuming your reserves of clean drinking water and raising your electricity bill, kind of like an unwanted house guest: AI. Now that y'all have invited Alexa into your homes, there's no getting rid of her, and she refuses to pay rent. But she'll tell you about the coming oil shortage. You heard it here first. I don't think we're out of the woods, yet... If you don't believe Alexa you can see the post from our resident Amsoil distributor who posted about Amsoil raising its prices recently.
