2007 Sierra Denali Tempature/mpg

I have a 07 sierra denali (nnbs) and most of the time it runs right at 210 degrees but sometimes it goes up to 230 for a little bit is this normal? coolent is full and looks brand new. also i dont have a heavy foot and drive 65/35 hiway/city and average 14.6mpg seems a little low for as much as im on the hi-way anyone with a 6.2l 6 speed AWD get any better or worse? and last question sometimes my cruise works and sometimes it doesnt. when it does work it will shut its self off sometimes and wont come back on any suggestions? truck isnt showing any codes either. any help would be great thanks

I too have the same truck, same engine and drivetrain. 77K miles. I drive city and HWY. I get about 12.8 to 13.0 MPG. I have a heavy foot though, 75-80 MPH rate. My temp stays right in the middle, (not sure what value that would be) although my charging gauge will often flex from 18 to 14 or even 12. I noticed that it recommends using 91 octane. Do you use that? I am driving cross country with a 7Klb trailer and want to know if i should be using 91 or can i get by with 87? Also, do you notice a rough idle on your truck?

right in the middle of your temp gauge would be 210, and my amp gauge flexes a little too. but i usually run 87 or 89 octain in it never 91 (i have an uncle that works of a major gas company and he said that most companies advertise 89 and 91 octain but they are actualy the same gas. But idk, i know its 20 cents more than 87 so i usualy dont run it) i havent had any rough idling in it though. also i had a 01 sierra denali before this one and it showed my instantainious fuel milage does my 07 do that? if so i cant find where (no nav if that makes a difference)

The only thing I have on mine is right where the shifter is is a row of buttons that scroll through different indications on the dashboard, all it says is MPG and a number. If you scroll onto that page and hold the "check mark" button down for a few seconds it will zero out your MPG and you can then start driving to see what you MPG is for that particular trip. other than that, the MPG is only taking an average from each time you start the engine. Hope this helps. Just curious you said "(nnbs)" is that not new body style?

oh ok i didnt know that ill have to try that. But no NNBS is the 07-12. The 90s body is considered the old body style 99-07 classic is considerd new body style (nbs) and the 07-12 is considered New New body Style (NNBS) its dumb if you ask me but thats what people call them
