Lug Nut Help

I'm trying to replace the OEM lug nuts on my 08 Sierra All Terrain as they are starting to look like hell. I decided to order McGard 84620 as a few people on the site mentioned using them when I did a search and their site states they are compatible with OEM wheels. So I go to put them on and they are obviously wrong. I'm wondering if anyone has had the same problem or has any idea if I ended up with the wrong part or what the hell happened?

Those are missing the second shoulder aren't they? What about ordering some OEM ones?

Try these instead. The tapered shoulder is the only part that contacts the wheel.

Thanks, I'll give those shot. I've had McGard's before and they hold up much better then the OEM.

I have been running those lug nuts for a year now no problem. They look small when compared to a 22mm but the taper seats properly to the wheel.

Well they are on their way back to amazon.com as I didn't like the look of them. Hopefully the other's mentioned fit better. I'll report back.

 

Also, I wonder if there is any difference as I have the 18" all terrain style wheel and you don't?
