Stock Anti-Sway Bar

Anybody know if the stock sway-bars on my 2000 Sierra are any good? I think they're about 1 7/16" thick, but how strong are they? Is it worth getting an aftermarket one or just get a rear?

I would just add a rear sway bar. I've installed a Hotchkiss F/R set on my last truck (2000 C1500) and found the ride very stiff and the front bar kept sliding sideways in the bushings. I put the stock front bar back on and the ride was great. Conered great also. Unfortunately Hotchkiss doesn't sell just a rear bar. You have to buy the set. The Hellwig bar looks like its kind of a "Universal" fit as opposed to the Hotchkiss which looked "Factory".

I've got the Hellwigs on front and rear.  I haven't had any problems with either sliding around.  The handling is a bit better with the aftermarket front bar.  Ride quality didn't suffer much from the front bar. But that is my opinion. It will stiffen the front especially when cornering or on uneven surfaces.  :thumb:
