06 Express Van Parking Light Stay On

I have an 06 Express van and last night when I got home the parking lights (front & rear) would not shut off. I tried turning them on & off several times but they would not turn off until after 10 min. When I turned the key on again the lights were on again. Any ideas? I am guessing that it might be the light switch but would like someone's opinon.

I am still having trouble with the parking light staying on. They do turn off eventually, only after the van sits for 10 mins, the same control that will turn off the interior light is left on. I have tried replacing the headlight switch and that does not make any difference. The parking lights will stay on even if the switch is unplugged. I have removed the relay and that does not turn them off either. Any other ideas that I need to try. Does the onboard control module control this? Is there away to test it?

it could be a issue with the BCM. try disconnecting your battery for about 5 min and reconnect it. sometimes the BCM will not switch off/on certain items when programmed to. it should reset it self when the battery is reconnected.

I have just finished with disconnecting & reconnecting the battery to reset the BCM. It did nothing. Is there a way to test the BCM?

consider taking it in if it makes ya nuts

 

people need a bunch of skills and schematics to try and in the end ,it may take a simple reprograming to fix it ,,lots of modules are in play is all im sayin,
