Multi-player computer games

Since I picked up the 2nd computer I want to set up some mulit-player games.  W/ the computer I just got, plus my other one and my sisters I've got 4 computers in the house that I can play multi-player games on.  I'll probably just stick w/ my two since they are the best out of them.  But, what are some good network games that aren't too labor intensive?  I've got half-life and Unreal Tournament.  Are there some other good ones?

I've been a Team Fortress fan for 4 years now, and for the last 2 years it's been out as a mod for HalfLife.  Just recently, Counterstrike has been becoming much more interesting to me than Team Fortress.  CS is much more realistic and the weapons are awesome, and the gameplay is much more intensive.

The problems with those, is they're designed for more than 2 players, so unless you can get both computers on an internet server, it's not going to be very fun.

Quake3 Arena is a cool game for 2 players, becuase you can throw a few bots in there too.

Those are all 1st-person Shooters.

Starcraft/Broodwar is a great real-time strategy game if you're into those.

Have fun!

Shouldn't be a problem getting online w/ them, I've got the DSL connection so I don't think that online gaming would be much of a problem.  My cousin plays Unreal Tournament a lot, online too on his 56k modem that the connection is shared to about 5 different computers.  He must lag like crazy.

I've got starcraft, which is a cool one player game, I'd like to try it against someone.

I play counter strike from time to time. It's a pretty cool game and there can be a lot of people on the same server as you so it does get interesting.

I personally LOVE Age of EmpiresII and Age of Empires.  Starcraft is cool too.  Delta Force and Rogue Spear (like 007 for N64 or Doom).  I know with Delta Force you can go 1 on 1 or have teams against other teams.  Lags sometimes stink here, one minute you are about to knife someone from behind and the next frame, they are 50m away using their assault weapon on YOU!!!  ???   :D  A great way to kill time.  :D  :D

Oh yeah, I've got Delta Force too.  I copied it from one of my friends and I know he'll want to play it tuesday.  I was going to pick up Delta Force III when I was at best buy, but I ended up picking up some DVD's.  I've got so many computer games at home, I couldn't even name half of them.  The only downfall is that the other computer I got only has a 4 gig HD, so I can only put a few games on it since most of the newer games take 500 or so megs.

I've played Counter-Strike since beta 2.0, back before it was a "real game" for sale. I've got to say... that game became my life for a while there. It's extremely addictive, it's just so much fun. You won't go wrong with this game.

you're on, I'll be installing it tomorrow so I'll play you whenever it's convenient for both of us.  I've only played it for about an hour, but I'm not too shabby at it.  I can get a few kills in, but I die a lot.

Three of my mid-teen and older sons are into Everquest.  My oldest is also into Dark Age of Camelot, but my son who lives with me can't get it to run well on our 400 MHz PC, even with a memory upgrade.

Everquest isn't a game.... it's a drug.  I have friends from college who spend multiple DAYS playing that game without getting up to eat - only to use the bathroom.    I personally think it's dumb, but that's just me :D

I agree.  My 16 YO and I have an unspoken agreement - when I say so, he camps and gets off the computer as soon as he can - and he gets to continue playing.  It is interesting though, because he can stay in regular touch with both of his brothers while they whack on others or each other.
