Using 08 Overhead Console Switches for other things

So I know there was a member on here that at one time got an overhead console out of a Tahoe/Suburban and wired the switches for other things. I've been searching the forum but I can't seem to find it. Can anyone help me out? Thanks in advance!

I took a shot at it and failed. I couldn't get the switches to operate how I wanted / needed. I have the upgraded interior with the center concolse. I ended up taking some plastic from ebay, cutting it to fit the little pocket forward of the cup holders and putting the switches in there. The cover hides the switches when not in use. I had some pictures but can't find any at the moment, if this would work for you I can snap a few.
