Power Wire Size

Right now I am only upgrading the speakers all around and adding an amp. Its 75 x 4. 4 awg i read is good up to 1000w. I am bring one positive line from the battery back to the amp. Im putting a distribution block there and splitting it at the amp rack. I do not plan on having a crazy system. I doubt id add anything more than 300w RMS to it as far as the sub goes. Should I go 0awg to the back and split it to 2 x 4awg or will a 4 awg run back split into 2 x 4awg be plenty?

I think running 4awg will be plenty for that size system.

I have 4awg running back to power my dual compressors and it works great.

You should be fine ... Just remember to make ALL your grounds as short as possible from the rear amps to the body ... and reinforce your grounds from your body to the frame (especially near your battery) ... Remember, energy path (current flow) travels negative to positive ...
