W-body engine swap info?

Pretty off topic here but I need some info on a first gen W-body engine swap. I have a 1994 Cutlass project. It had an LQ1 (3.4 DOHC) in it till it blew at 77k miles. I have had a cheap 1990 LH0 (3.1) offered to me. I know it will bolt in. What parts do I need to swap over and what do I need to modify to get it to work?

Simple answer? Everything.

 

the complete intake system will have to be modified, the complete exhaust system will have to be modified (if its IM applicable thats almost completely out the window) The fuel injection will have to be changed as well as engine wiring harness and computers.

The heater hoses will have to be changed and after everything is done, the tranny probably wont shift right.

 

How badly did the 3.4 'blow'? The way I figure, even with the DOHC, it would be cheaper/easier to repair the 3.4L unless it has a hole in the block or something otherwise equally catastrophic. I know setting up the DOHC is not easy, but when they are running right its a better motor than the 3.1L IMHO....

Apparently a piece of the timing chain guide broke, traveled through the engine, and seized the oil pump. Then...it was driven like that for a few miles (no, not by me!) I guess I'll keep looking for a good 3.4...
