Hi everyone,

Does anyone know which wire the turn signal and chime signal to the drivers door is sent on? I have attached a diagram I found for a Solstice, but am unable to find one for our trucks. I have a 2011 sierra non bose.

Cheers, Brendan

From my 2011 Helm schematics, p. 8-6, 8-9: the UQ3/UQ5 radio would receive a chime signal from the data communications link on X1, pin 13 (D-GN), and output it to the LH-front speaker on X1, pins 2 (TN, +), and 9 (GY, -). X1 pins 3 (L-GN, +) and 10 (D-GN, -) power the RH front speakers.

Hope this helps.

It does, Thanks! Does the manual indicate what other information is sent on the cata com link? Any chance of getting a scanned copy of the electrical diagram? Basically what I am trying to find out is if I can add a resistor in series with the chme / turn signal inputs to the radio to quiet them down when I install an amplifier.

Ummm, no, you can't put a resistor anywhere to tone down the chimes. The only thing that would quiet down is the sound of the loose change in your pocket, because you'd be giving it all to the Chevy dealer to fix your BCM.

Only hope would be to move to an aftermarket deck and either lose the chimes altogether or add a data adaptor with a chime module that you can modify the volume on separately (I usually wrap it with electrical tape to quiet it down!)
