question about hooking up brake controller

I just bout a Reese (tekonsha) brake controller for my 2006 sierra. I found the harness that I need on ebay to hook the controller up to the trucks panel down by the drivers feet. Is this the only wiring needed? The truck has the factory 7 pin conector at the hitch. Thanks in advance!

Yes. It was on my 2002. I received the harness you mention, with my truck. The salesman told me it would be in the glovebox. Just wire it per the e-brake instructions and plug it in. It should now be hooked into the 7 pin trailering plug.

just make sure all colored wires match up correctly on the harness when pluged in. I remember i had to change one to a different pin location.

 

had do this when i switch the controller from my older truck. 02 to 06 not sure why it wasn't the same.....

There was a harness change between those years.
