gurgling noise on acceleration

When you accelerate the truck from a standstill you can hear a gurgling like noise coming from under the floorboards. Truck is a 99 silverado new body style reg cab sortbox z-71 4wd with automatic and 5.3 engine. The noise starts when rpms reach a bit higher before shifts. No drop in performance but is driving me crazy. Any suggestions?

Is it possible that you are refferring to the gurgling noises some members have had in their heater core? I don't remember the fix, but I don't think it was that difficult.

I think the sound seemed to be coming from under or inside the dash for this problem.

Maybe someone else who has had this problem and cured it will be able to answer you a little better than I can...

I have the same noise as you do Shocker, but have no idea what it is ??? .

I would also be interested in the fix .

I think Mountaineer Tom had the same problem some time ago. He might be able to help you on this one.

That's what I thought I remembered too... I haven't seen him online for a few days though...

Yep, I had that noise once. I followed some instructions from another member and it worked out good, no more gurgling sound. It's basicly just an air pocket.
