Turn Signal Problem

My left front turn signal will not work on my 1990 GMC 1500. The bulbs are good and the left rear turn signal works fine. When I turn the blinker on it blinks fast and sounds like a bulb is burned out.

 

I swapped the left turn signal bulbs with the right turn signal and they are OK. Is there a rely that is specific only to the right front turn signal?

Try checking all your grounds as you could have a bad connection on one of the circuits. As far as I know you should only have one relay for turn signals but I could be wrong.

It was a bad turn signal switch located in the steering wheel. $42.00 for the part $110.oo for labor. I did not have the tools required to remove components to get to the switch. So $110 is not too bad for 2 hrs of labor.

I'm glad the problem was found and repaired quickly for you. Electrical gremlins can be a real bear to chase down sometimes..glad this isn't one of those times.
