I was just washing my truck today, and good thing i noticed i got a broken driver side middle leaf!! There was a bit of noise when i go over a sharp bump but I thought it was the plastic inbetween wearing out. I drive it on the highway all the time and never overloaded it, only pulled a 14' boat and double wide aluminum ski-doo trailer.

My truck is a 2010 silverado, long box ex cab.

I am bringing it in to the dealer monday, I only have 57000km on it. I jacked it up, the tire has some good rubbing on it and removed the broken piece, as i did not want it to fall off and break something else.

Snapped one off not too long ago, middle of the pack.

Think it happened when I going over some rough road with the sled in the back.

Had no idea until it was time to change the winter tires.

Got a entire new pack under warranty.

My driver's side leaf pack broke a couple of years ago and that costed me $700 alone in labour and $125 for a bone-yard special. Today my passenger side version went and I'm going back to the bone yard once more but this time I'm going to replace it myself since it doesn't involve the gas tank. Truck's going on 192,000 kms and is starting to show it's age - like me :)

We get broken leafs in half tons a lot at work. Not hauling anything just rough roads.
