Code P0449 Evaporative Emissions Control System Vent Valve / Solenoid

Hello everyone and thanks for your help with my issue. I am writing this to let everyone know that I recently had the P0449 code and needed to replace the Vent Valve located directly in front of my fuel tank on my 2006, 5.3L, Chevy Z71. After visiting the local parts shop and finding they sell this valve for approximately $75, I started doing an internet search. What I bought and have been using successfully for about one month now is an AC Delco 214-2164 bought from Amazon for a total of $16.75. The only problem is that it will not attach to the factory metal bracket. I used zip ties (wire ties) to secure mine to the factory bracket and no problems. I'm sure anyone with a little mechanical ability could fabricate a bracket if desired. My photos also show that my truck already had the modified hose line installed. See attached photos and I hope this will help others.
