2002 denali xl 6.0l exhaust size

I have a 2002 Denali XL 6.0L and was wondering what the stock size piping was.......I've read 3" some places and heard 2.5 from shops n such that ive been to, I dont want to look like a dumbass when i go order some exhaust cut outs for my rig. Any help would certinaly kick ass!

I don't think it's 2.5 but rather 2.75??? Possibly 3? I know when I measured my exhaust pipe when the muffler was chopped off, it wasn't exactly three but I think it was 2.75in.
