RPM's Jumping up and Down in Reverse

I have an 06 Silverado 2500HD 8.1L with the 6 speed allison tranny. Not all the time but every once in awhile when i put it in reverse and just let it coast backwards the rpms will jump up and down all by itself. Its like someone keeps tapping the gas lightly and letting off. Its only jumps from 1 to 2500 RPMs tops. So its not out of control. Any help would be appreciated or is this normal behavior for the allison? Thanks

get it scanned ,it also makes no sence as i believe its not the transmission,
