Tire Shopping

I'm looking at getting some BFG Rugged Terrain tires for my 1500.I found:

 

P285/70R17 117T for $200

 

or

 

LT285/70R17 for $250

 

 

Do I need the LT tire?

If your truck is just an every day driver, that doesn't get worked very hard, then the P-rated tires are just fine. Also, if MPG and ride comfort are a major concern, then go with the P-rated ones. However, if you tow or haul a lot, or go offroad....and durability and towing stability are more important, then get the LT's.
