Shock Extenders??

Recommended Posts

Posted

I have an AAL on my truck and I want to add a 2inch block to replace the factory 1.25 block. I also have put bils 5100's on the rear. The shocks i put on were a little bit longer (made for 2inch of rear lift) than the stock ranchos. Should i also get extenders to keep the shock from topping out when flexing?

Easy enough to determine. Pull the shock from its bottom mount and see how much downward travel it has when the truck is on level ground. If you have a minimum of 2 inches of additional travel you should be fine. You don't want the shocks to "top out".
