U-Joint Part number????

I replaced the u-joints on each end of the drive shaft today. The first part I got from Napa was incorrect, it was Precision 534G. The caps were too large to fit into the shaft and the yoke. The part that fit was a Precision 353. The existing u-joint had 353 on it too, but was aftermarket.

 

The problem is, it seems like there there is a lot of play between the joint body and the seals of the cup. Is this normal? Seems like too much slop to me, but I can't imagine the ears of the drive shaft have moved out by 1/2". The roads were icy tonight so I never made it past 40 mph to see if the vibration was gone.

 

2000 Sierra x-tra cab, 5.3, 4x4.

If the new one doesn't at least match the old one, then you have the wrong one. I'm not seeing a "353" listed
