20" Tire upgrade from 275/55/20

Ok, I know numerous questions have been asked on this topic and everyone has their personal choice in tire brands. Well, I am ready to dump these Goodyear Eagle LS2 tires due to no traction whatsoever in the rainy streets in Houston and definitely no traction back home in Northeast Texas off road.

I am considering the following tires and sizes for the OEM 20" wheels:

Firestone Destination A/T P275/60/20 @ $188 ea.

Cooper Discoverer ATP P275/60/20 @ $195 ea.

Cooper Zeon LTZ P275/60/20 @ $215 ea.

Toyo ATII LT285/55/20 $ TBD due to out of stock.

Ok, let me see your vote. 2011 Crew Cab 4X4 Truck has the Rough Country 2" level only. I don't want any rubbing or bottoming out when off-roading.

No, Discount Tire sells the Discoverer ATP which I think is an exclusive item for them. The tread pattern is similar to the Zeon LTZ.

That size is the AT/3. And the Destination A/T sucks. I had a set. Wore out in 6 months. The worst tire I have had in rain

I had them in 265/75R16's. I hated them. My Cooper H/T's are a lot better in rain. I dont know what to go with next but I need a Performance 22" tire that is roughly the same height as my current 275/55R20's

Just installed the Toyo AT II "Extreme" in LT285/55/20 on stock 08' 4X4 1500 GMC wheels. Truck is 2" leveled only. They look more aggressive and are wider than the 285/55/20 BFG AT KO's that came off. Only have 100 miles on them but they look great! Still need to adjust the air pressure for the best ride and handling, figuring around 42 psi. around Houston.

BFG's were good tires!! Got 50K miles out of them and still had usable tread, just a lot of plugs/patches from road debris. Never any rubbing from the BFG's(anytime) and no rubbing, so far, from the Toyo's...

Discount Tire sold the Toyo's for $249 ea. using the Tread Depot ad for comparison.

After seeing all of your tire choices(which were on my list as well...) I went with the 285/55 Toyo because it's size, strength, look, mileage warranty and no rubbing! Zeon would have been my 2nd choice.

This thread is perfect. I have nitto terra grappler 275/55R20 thinking about going up to 295 or 305's

Considering the Zeon LTZ's. but might stick with the Nittos

But out of your choices I would go with the coopers zeons. Like the look of those the most

I ended up getting the Cooper Zeon LTZ in the 275/60/20 and they look great on the truck. The ride is just as smooth today as it was with those horrible Goodyear Eagle LS2 in 275/55/20. Discount gave me a pretty good deal as well with price match. I'll have to post pics later.

Is there anybody out there running the Cooper Zeon 305/50/20 on a NBS 2WD with the stock wheels and stock suspension ? The discount tire web site shows this size as a option but I`d like to know for sure before ordering. The diameter is only a tenth of a inch larger than the stock Goodyears and the width is 30mm wider which is 15mm, or 9/16 inch, on each side of the tire. I have crawled under and measured the clearance and I believe it will work, but it would be close.
