Well taking a break from "Inside the Arsenio Hall Show" on VH-1, I'm looking at getting a GPS unit to use on roadtrips and such.  I'd be interested in something that has mapping and directions.  I don't really hike much or anything like that.  We've had Magellan units in some Hertz rentals and they work well.  Now I know those units/system are big ticket, but something similar would be nice.

The Garmin 76S fits the bill perfectly for me.  It has 24MB memory, accepts map uploads, WAAS, waterproof (floats!), etc...  It's worked great for me.  It's listed as a Marine unit and accepts their BlueChart data but I only go offshore occasionally so that wasn't such a big deal.
