HVAC Control Panel Switch Quit Working

06 1500 Silvy. I have the dual zone manual HVAC controls. First the backlight for the left half of the unit went out, shortly followed by the fan speed knob ceasing to work on setting 1. I have just gotten used to using the 2nd setting as the minimum, or 0. However, it might be nice to fix this issue before summer hits. I'm assuming the problem is somewhere within the control unit? Perhaps fan speed knob/potentiometer? Any input is welcomed.
