Rail dust

So what works on rail dust? I have read that claying will remove it. Also seen iron x. What has everyone have work for them? Maybe Adams can chime in. I didnt see anything like iron x on there site tho

Tim, that's a great question! Clay bar is a great option for removing rail dust, and that's what we recommend currently.

 

Also, there may or may not be a Iron Decontamination product currently in testing that may or may not be added to our product lineup in the near future.

Claying worked for me. After half an hour or so I was seeing spots, they may or may not have been there. Get a 30 pack and take a lot of breaks just so your eyes can refocus.

Iron-X hands down. I tried clay but it takes way to long and could not remove all the rust spot. One spray and wipe with Iron-X and it's gone until the following spring.

Nope, and my truck is white. It works awesome. Spray it on, let it dwell for a few minutes, then wipe/hose down.

Like Ryanbabz71 says.....yup. You'll want to start whatever process you do each spring from the beginning. Iron-X and clay will strip everything.
