Got New Tires!!!

Recommended Posts

Finally got rid of the 245's on my 99 Z71.  Went with the 285 BFG All Terrains.  Truck looks much better now, acually looks off road.

I need to crank the torsion bars up but I have no clue what they are or where to start, anyone have picts?

It's very easy to crank the Torsion bars.

Look under the truck and parallel to the frame rails.  You'll see a bar on each side of the truck that comes from the front suspension to a cross member near the rear of the cab.  At that cross member you will see a bolt hanging straight down.  Turn that bolt in for more front end lift.  It's easy to do.

Congrats on the new tires...   :thumb:

Hey KMT15,

What do you have for gears?  4.11 or 3.73.  If you have the 3.73 did you notice any power loss?

Thanks

I have the 4.10's on my '00 Z71 and when I went from 265 to 285 I didn't notice anything besides better looks!
