Gmt900 dash lights same as modern military airplanes

Just did done research, was considering changing my dash backlighting for looks/better nightvision. Always thought red was the least disruptive at night. From reading this and other stuff I red is the worst and the color that nvis white is the aircraft and military spec.

 

This nvis white looks almost the same as our dash and button backlighting. Now I'm trying to find LEDs for the dome light and map lights in the same color.

Lol true NVIS light are unseeable by the naked eye. We have a scope that allows us to see them on. But yes, nvis lights are used throughout. Though they are white underneath, panels are green as with most of the lighting.

Why do you use a night vision imaging system while driving?

 

Red and green are easier on the naked eye, red better for the peripheral vision nature of spotting gauges while driving.

Agree. The red lights pontiacs used to have were much better on the eyes at night.

Guess I should have clarified that there are two variations but classify it under one name. The invisible ones are not used on the inside.
