Check engine light & battery issue

First time post here.

I have an '08 Sierra that I bought used. After a while I noticed the clock would reset to 12 on start up. Not every time, but enough to concern myself with it. I changed the battery(it was needed) and it still did it off & on. Well then my check engine light has be coming on and off(seriously 2-3 times a day), & Autozone says it is the TPS sensor/Gas pedal relay(?) every time.

One day it would not do anything like the battery was disconnected. I jiggled the negative(read as a possible cause) and it came back to life i guess.

My question is would the battery and the TPS code going on and off be related in any way?

Still drives fine, but it is getting annoying as HE**

Thanks

If the connection was clean and tight when you "jiggled" it, I'd replace the cable. Check the other body grounds for being clean and tight
