Aside from leaving it in the garage all the time I can't help you... How about if you glue one of those big plastic owls in the center of the roof!!!

I prefer the 10 gauge solution myself.

It's a little messy the first time, but well worth the effort.

Messy birds used to be a problem in our neighborhood. Seems pigeons liked roosting on the roofs of the two story houses on either side of my one story house. I bought a Crossman 780D air rifle. It fires a .177 or BB's. It only takes about 4 pumps and a good eye to remedy the problem.
