Air Bag issue on 06 HD

Hey guys,

Looking for some feedback.

I've been looking at buying an 06 HD.. it's been plowed with and the guy is telling me that lots of times the air bag is " unhooked" for the plowing application.. I've never heard of it.. is this guy feeding me a load of poo?

Also, other than the obvious front end inspection on a "plow truck".... is there anything specific I should be checking out when looking at it?

be sure to check the tranny and power steering fluids to see if they are burnt__not sure about the air bag hoopla as my cousins fleet of 2500HD plow vehicles never have the airbag disconnected while they are plowing. Hope it works out for you. Ski

The fleet of plow trucks, GM and Ford. No such thing as disconnect the air bag.In the ones we drive.

Load of poo. truck will not saftey with that issue till it is fixed. Serious Monies

Passed inspection but was probably missed. It is part of the saftey group that must comply.

check the diff fluids as well, and all front end components for wear.

you should pass on the truck ,,,,,trannies dont like plow trucks

 

check all service history ,,,,and warranty work that was done
