Truck is acting up

Hey guys, well my 2005 2500HD's 4 wheel drive system has been acting up. Some days I'll get in my truck and there is nothing wrong and intermittently it will tell me to service the 4 wheel drive, but there is nothing wrong with the 4 wheel drive system, and on the button array where you select 2 hi, 4 hi, and 4 lo, it won't have any of those lit up, sometimes it will drop it self into 4 lo and then I stop and shut off the truck and start up again it will work perfectly fine. What the hell is wrong with this thing!? The truck has around 172k miles. I've heard that the sauntering cracks in the push button select for which drive you want. Anybody else' truck do this?

Many times this can be caused by the selector switch going bad, you can find a new one on amazon pretty cheap. I never had the 4lo issue with mine but it would throw a service 4wd and the backlighting in the switch quit. It's where I'd start.

scan it first ,no guessing

All that showed up on the scan tool is a code C0327, I ordered a new button panel.

Wasting money??? It was $40 and the problem went away...
