power extendable mirrors. don't extend

Hi

I recently bought a 2004 Chev k2500 hd with power extendable camper mirrors.

When the switch is activated the mirrors do not move. I can hear the motors whirr but mirrors do not move.

Are they fixable?

What might be wrong with them?

Thanks

Lloyd

Mine did the same on my 2005. Just keep playing with them and they will eventually work again. It's almost like the clutches get dirty from non use and if you run with the motors it cleans them and they work again. Poor design for sure.

just had both my motors replaced. the dealer said that the mirrors had to be POPPED out and if they break I had to buy new ones...Service tech didnt break mirrors and the extend just fine now

I had the same problem at times with a 03. Our solution was to hit the switch and have someone with medium force pull out on the mirror. They would work fine for a year and then have to do it again. I didn't use them much and that may have had something to do with it. Seemed to get sticky from non use.
