4WD issue

When I lock my truck in 4LO the switch blinks a couple times then lights go off completely then service 4WD light comes on. If I turn the truck off then flip the key back over it says its in 4HI then lights go off and service 4WD light comes back on.

 

Its a 2002 Z71

Pull any C codes that will be stored, likely autozone could do it. Sounds like an encoder motor though.

course not ,,,,,unless something else is wrong ,,,,ya cant return electrical parts

Ya you need proper diagnostics, You can't just guess or it gets expensive in a hurry.
