Order Placed!

Order Placed! I just got home from placing the order for my new Sierra SLT with the 6.2L engine. The truck is pretty loaded with all the goodies except the sun roof. The MSRP is $54,155 and I bought it for $45, 626. That's a $8,529 reduction. The final price includes all factory discounts, rebates, etc. I'm pretty satisfied with my deal, but you always wonder if you left anything on the table. lol Now the waiting starts!

I'm waiting on my order that I placed about 3 weeks ago to come in as well. It is supposed to be built next week but that remains to be seen from what I have read here lately. As for the rebates, I believe that you are only allowed the rebates that are available at the time of delivery not what is available when you order. Someone correct me if I'm wrong here. $8529 in discounts and rebates is pretty good though. Now the waiting game begins. It is killing me everytime I see a new Sierra on the road, although I haven't seen very many.

You are correct! My dealer told me that if there is a shortage in the discounts he quoted me today and the discounts that are available when my truck comes in, he would make up the difference.

Correct on the rebates, it is the rebates that are currently in force when you pick the truck up and process all of the paperwork to complete the sale.

That kinda sucks....When I was selling Dodges it was whatever the customer chose what was in effect when the order was placed or delivery. Hope it works out to the better

I think you did just fine....hopefully you will be on the short list as far as waiting goes - from what I understand the constraint on the 6.2's should be a thing of the past after the first of the year.
