Any recirculation updates

Wondering if anyone has found any updates to the recirucation of interior air issue? With recirculate ON I smell what everyone is having for dinner on my way home. It's clearly gulping air from outside and shooting into the cab, even though "recirculate" should be "recirculating" air and not allowing exterior air in. I'm getting tired of this...I hope GM has a fix soon.

It alsmost appears that the two small side vents by the mirrors may bypass the circ / filtration system, and they appear to be on all the time even if you have heat just on the floor vents. Perhpas this is the issue? Anyone else notice this?

Yes none of my 6 other vehicles did this.
