Stuck in 4 wheel drive-check valve stuck

Hi I had to share this info with you guys. After 14 hours of non stop snow plowing (I never shut the truck down) and the second day 10 hours non stop,I unhooked the plow and shifted out of 4 wheel hi to 2 WD. I have an 02 Hd 6.0 with a manual transfer case, anyway the 4 wheel light goes out and as I am going down the road the light is going in and out of 4 wheel drive and I hear a light light grinding from the case. I fot around with the shift lever and the light goes out. Few minutes later-again. Express it over to my Chevy dealer at 4 pm and tell him either check it right now or let it eat a transfer case-I am under warranty so either way I am driving outta here-grinding or not. 10 minutes later its on the rack, there are switches with check balls in the top and side of the case. Depending on what you select 2 lo or 4 hi/lo the check balls in the switches get depressed and close the electrical contact to complete the circuit and activate the front diff. A LITTLE dirt in these and they are done. If it happens to you guys don't drive on it unless you are real close to the dealer or can do it in 4 hi. Unless you are like me and don't really care what breaks as long as its under warranty. Don't get me wrong I love this truck but 2 1/2 years from now after plowing winters and towing summers it'll probably be traded for another new one. By the way I only have 3100 miles on it in 6 months-most are pretty brutal though-I put it in a deep ditch Monday plowing-bottommed out the frame-no damage at all. Believe me I've killed half tons in 10-12k miles these Hd units are tough trucks.
