I've had my 2014 Silverado LT Z71 for about two weeks now and does anyone else feel like their gas pedal bounces around slightly under their foot when maintaining a certain speed around 35-45mph? I'm coming from a Frontier so maybe this is normal but I think i'm just paranoid because this is my first brand new truck. I also noticed that the pedal is secured to a mounting plate but that mounting plate is not tight up against the firewall. I can move the plate around by hand.

Sounds strange. I'd make sure all the bolts are tight, then check out other trucks at the dealer if it still doesn't seem right.

Agreed that is a problem. Pedal should feel pretty solid all the time. Even the power pedals have a very solid feel.

You need to address that pronto, before you end up having a really serious issue.
