Lowering '01 Tahoe

I have a 2001 Chevy Tahoe that I want to lower, but I don't know anything about it.  What's a good amount to lower without scraping everything?  I don't want a low rider.  Which kit should I get?

check out www.stylinconcepts.com  They sell DJM drop kits, which are the best kit for the 99+ body style bowties.  Something around 3" of drop would look really good on your Tahoe, and you would have no trouble with bottoming out or anything like that.
