Radio Swap Help

Hopefully this question is in the correct forum.

Iam looking to do a swap of factory units into my 2003 Silverado.

I have a 2003 Silverado and the current radio works except for the CD player.
The current stereo is # 15184932.

I was given a NOS unit from another Silverado, I believe it to be 2000 to 2003 but not positive. The stereo was removed to install an aftermarket unit. The model number of this NOS unit is 15071233.

Im attempting to install this myself without dealership assistance.

first: will their be any issues with having to "unlock" the new unit since it didnt come in my truck originally?

second: the mounting cage is not the same for the new unit as my original unit. The original unit just screwed in place using three screws.

The new unit has what appears to be some slide brakets installed on each side that allows the radio to slide in and out. Would anybody know if I can get the matching mounting cage for this new unit and will it install as a direct replacement of the original cage.

third: the plugs on the wire harness are not the same. Is this something I can buy over the counter or is this going to be a dealer item.

Thank you very much for your assistance and I have photos of the two radios if you need to see them

I just replaced my factory radio with an identical one from another vehicle. My radio now says LOCKED. What do I need to do to get it unlocked?

I have 2014 Sierra SLT, it has a cd/ mp3 player. Is it possible to swap it out for a gm oem dvd player? would I need to have it programmed?
