Any audio Gurus?

Recently upgraded the sound system in my Silverado. I now have a crackling sound coming from the speakers. I cannot tell if it is one speaker or all of them as it only happens intermittently and doesn't last long enough for me to isolate it. I had the system installed and the knuckleheads ran the power and RCA cables on the same side so it could be picking up interference but I don't think that is the issue.

 

Could it be a bad ground or speaker wiring issue? Maybe the speaker itself?

Crackling would lead to either a bad ground, or a bad RCA.

That is what I am thinking. Aside from the RCAs and Power wire running too close could a bad ground cause alternator whine as well?

Crackling....

did you replace the speakers?

My guess is on gains set too high and a blown speaker.
