Kicker Amp and Sub with Factory Bose Stereo

I recently purchased a 2014 GMC Sierra All Terain SLT that had the factory Bose stereo. I saw the following accessory online (200 / 400 Watt Powered Subwoofer and Amp, Crew Cab by Kicker® 19303117) and thought I could add this onto my existing system. I purchased the setup and had it installed and the shop called me and told me the sub wasn't working. Did some homework and found that it wasn't compatible with the Bose system. Has anyone else tried adding this system in? I like the sub enclosure and may just buy a 2 channel amp and bypass the attached amp and run my own cables to the head unit and batery etc. Are there any work arounds that anyone knows of before I do that? Is the add on amp/DSP unit able to be used at all?

Thanks,

Dave

I saw another thread on site where someone took the signal going to the bose sub, split it and sent it to another amp to support an additonal subwoofer under the rear seat.

I'm surprised that the shop you went to get it installed didn't think out the box and figure something out.

Yeah, the shop installed everything per the directions and then told me it wasn't working, their workaround was to install an amp separate of the one that comes with the rear sub and basically just use the enclosure. I was hoping someone knew how to use the stock wiring and amp that came on the sub box / plug and play and make it work.

Interested in this option too, has anyone worked it out?
